The Disability Law Center (DLC) would like to share with you some recent happenings – a recently released report, new training videos, and new self-help materials.

We would also like to restate DLC’s commitment to protecting and advocating for the health, safety, and well-being of all people with disabilities. We work to ensure that people with disabilities can live independently in the community of their choice and have the opportunity to support themselves, maintain independence and be able to make decisions about their own lives. We operate under a federal mandate created by laws passed by Congress to keep people with disabilities safe from harm, fight illegal discrimination, and ensure they have access to healthcare, housing jobs, and education.

DLC and Pine Street Inn are pleased to announce the completion of a joint effort to enhance accessibility and services for vulnerable populations in congregate shelter settings.

Boston's local NPR station recently published a story about the impact of a court settlement for hundreds of nursing home patients following a lawsuit. DLC previously issued an extensive report on the conditions.

We are also very active in voting advocacy and ensuring people with disabilities know their legal rights when it comes to voting. Learn more about these efforts through REV UP! MA and the partnerships with other organizations that encourage people with disabilities to register to vote, become educated on the issues, and out to vote.
